Abstract


Objectives: The aim of this study is to verify the knowledge and practicable activities about oral health management in kindergartens and child care centers teachers.

Methods: A self-reported questionnaire was filled by 180 teachers that work at kindergartens and child care center in Gyeongnam, Busan and Ulsan from october to November, 2023. 173 questionnaires were analyzed, excluding 7 insincere responses by SPSS ver 21.0.

Results: The majority of respondents were female, aged 40-49, married, 3 children, graduated from a college and had more than 7 years of educational experiences. Regarding the survey on the need for oral health education, education was very necessary, the most suitable educator was a dentist, and the training period was whenever necessary.

Conclusions: Educational experience had a positive correlation with oral health knowledge.
